9:27 I somewhat agree with the Double Up changes. I mostly play Double Up instead of Ranked since I'd rather play with a friend, and it gets a bit frustrating when your opponents just become the lucky one in the lobby and get two spatulas for 10 KDA/Pentakill.

While, we've also had our fair share of playing 10 KDA, 10 Pentakill, and even 10 Heartsteel (managed to get 4 Spatulas), Double Up quickly became a game of who can get the most spatulas in the game.

Do you remember the open-fort meta where people grief just so they get to grab spatulas from the carousel? Imagine that, but 2x worse. I rarely see people play comps that don't play around spatulas in Double Up anymore, so I guess that's what they were going for with the changes.

As a Master Double Up player I feel weird about the changes. On one hand... the situation did need a fix; it's not healthy nor fun that every spatula is a must-pick and you always have to be ready to switch to 10KDA/Penta. On the other side, the way they are fixing it is... disappointing. They're making Double Up more and more similar to ranked by taking away or decreasing the value of the things that make Double Up special (I am also thinking of when they removed the option to send items held by champions you send).

I wish they come up with something to keep it fun and balanced in the future, although I am not really expecting it, based on Mort's words on how they do not have the time to focus on Double Up (I appreciate his honesty tho).
