Very, very underrated car. Over the time I had over 34 cars, but the Panda 4x4 twinair is in top 5 of them. It is practical, hugely dependable and amazingly fun to toss anywhere you can think of. I daily one and i can honestly say it would be the perfect car for 99% real world motoring situations, city, mountain, beach, adventure and even motorway.

Said in my best David Attenborough voice. “Now here we have the Panda in its natural habitat avoiding petroleum stations”

It's funny to think that, proportionally, more Fiat Pandas go offroad than Range Rovers do

I had two MK1 4x4 pandas in the 80s and 90s and now a 4x4 cross 2019. The perfect car for up here in the Scottish Highlands. Unstoppable in the snow and great fun passing all the stuck £50K cars spinning their wheels when the snow arrives

The Panda 4x4 has always been a cracking little car... I was really waiting (hoping) you`d just turn off the road and drive it straight up a field !

I have a normal 2wd Panda from 2012.
No issues, not a single tiny issue in ten years! Unbelieveble!
Most reliable car I’ve ever had.
And in my life I’ve had:
3 Alfas, 2 BMW, 2 Citroens, many other Fiats, 2 Autobianchi…
Panda is a fantastic little car

We hired one a couple of years ago, mainly because it was about the only car available, to do a daily drive to ski slopes . We didn’t have high hopes but it was amazing climbing up the steep unsalted access road with four adults and ski gear on the roof. We had huge respect for the car by the end of a week, never missed a beat and would start however cold and icy .

Never been a Fiat fan but could see me owning a Panda 4x4, another great video 👍

Fiat has always been building good engines. My first car was a 45 HP Uno with that 800ccm fire engine. It was still running strong with 250k kilometers. but unfortunately there was no metal left under my butt because of the rust. but that engine didn't burn a drop of oil still. RIP.

Oh wow I've been hoping you would review one of these!! 😎👍😊
I've had a Fiat Panda 4x4 Antarctica for over a year now, it has the same 875cc 2 cylinder twinair turbo engine. The little 0.9 engine was the thing I was most apprehensive about prior to buying but honestly with 85bhp and such a light car, makes for quite a nimble little performer!! You quickly forget it is a small capacity engine, the 6 speed box definitely helps to keep the revs in that 'happy zone'.
I would definitely recommend the winter pack, and look out for optional extras such as reverse sensors etc There are a few special editions that have various extra options as standard, mine came with rear privacy glass, Bluetooth etc

Pros- Economical to run and own, cheap to service, £30 annual road tax, cheap and plentiful parts shared with the 500 and punto!

What I like most about our Panda, it is unique, I've never seen another exact model while out and about, only seen 2 other 4x4 models and they were the cross version with different front and rear ends!
It's quirky, robust and above all lots of fun to drive and that roaring engine note is very grin inducing, it's hard not to rev it through the gears!
I've had 54mpg out of it but expect mid 40s as an average.

Cons- smallish boot, not great leg room in the back, ours has 3 seats in the back but I can't imagine 3 adults being very comfortable in the rear?
However, its mostly just me and the wife and our small pet dog Max, occasionally have a couple of grandchildren travelling in the back and it's fine for space!

In conclusion it's the perfect urban warrior, city car for us, with the ability to tackle those weekend warrior adventures wherever you choose to take it. 😎👍

I had the original 4X4 panda, and it was a tank, I could go anywhere with it, having spent years in the army and driving land Rovers, I am certain I could put my Panda where even a Land Rover would struggle. It was great in the snow as well. I seem to remember the tyres were expensive (Dunlop town and country tyres) but that was what really gave it that go anywhere ability. If this new Panda is anywhere near as good, I would highly recommend it.

I love the little Panda. How much cooler than a Countryman?

I know only one owner of this model, a diesel. He is a retired farmer who ran pickups for decades. Bluntly he loves it, he put a set of knobblys on and it goes anywhere my Mitsubishi will, probably a bit further in mud tbh. Turning up on shoots with the "big 4x4" set in a small and capable car shows off what they are. Brand snobs. Nothing wrong with small 4x4's. Brill review again thanks, the best motor reviews on the tube.

The car that gets most Italian ski instructors to work.

They really are great cars. We live in rural Ireland and we've had ours since new ( in-fact, it's exactly the same year and colour as your test car) It's been absolutely brilliant . No problem with it all . Best car Fiat make!

I love the green colour! I do like a green car. My mum had a F reg 1988 panda fire model, white with a green interior, that was a fun little car and never missed a beat. I do like your jumper too.

In the Italian Dolomites, I’m pretty sure this is the only car you’re allowed to buy. So many people have them. 😂 I can see why though, they’re perfect for that region!
