What is Cost Allocation, and how does it fit into FinOps?

Beyond tagging your resources, a well-organized resource hierarchy will make allocating your cloud costs super simple for you and your team

Your cloud resources should be organized in a way that mimics your actual org structure. To do this, you should:

Use AWS Organizational Units (OUs) and/or Google Cloud Folders
Separate workloads into their own accounts/projects (more on that here)
Make sure workloads only belong to a single OU or folder.
