Who doesn’t love to get something for free, especially when it’s a freebie while on your cruise? Or maybe we should clarify that since you’ve paid for the cruise, it’s not actually free… but it is included in what you’ve paid.

Still, there are a number of things that you may not realize that are there for your vacation, if you just ask for them.

Also, go ahead and subscribe... we're almost to 100K!

My granddaughter checked out a pool towel, however she did not turn it into the same towel station from which she checked out. She left the towel on her bed. I didn’t realize until I returned from the cruise and received my bill that I was charged $25 for her towel. This really ticked me off. Now I make sure before I debark from the ship to get my final bill.

There’s some events that offers free drinks. At least on Carnival, like there a free liquor tasting on the first night and the art auctions you are given a glass of champagne.

🎉NCL, Princess and Holland America have had a great selection of movies available for free. In the main dining room you can also ask for half portions, if you want to try multiple entrees. The menus will soecify if something is extra, such as on formal nights if you want extra lobster. Read and ask.

At 3:30, this may generally be true, but Cunard still offers free room service. We've sailed the QM2, and you can get food delivered to your room--any time, day or night--at no extra cost.

For disabilities:
The ships are very accommodating, yes. The ports, not always. So if you have mobility issues, that can be a let down. 😢

FYI, for NCL Alaska cruise last month, that last freebie about luggage is not valid. It's $27 each way you pay to have luggage picked up at airport (large U-Haul truck was used on mine) and delivered to the ship while we road in the bus. Same for coming back to airport.

Thank you. I have a possibly dumb question. Do cruise ships have in-cabin shampoo, conditioner and lotion like hotels do?

Im sorry, you have misspoken on the Accessible Cabins being the SAME PRICE as regular Cabins - On Royal Caribbean, when booking, you can save money by letting RC 'Pick your Cabin' BUT there is an UPCHARGE per person for you to pick your own cabin. UNFORTUNATELY - Being a fulltime wheelchair user, I am FORCED to pick my own cabin, and they can not guarantee me an accessible cabin ANY other way. So - We do pay MORE for our accessible cabins, sometimes HUNDREDS of Dollars more per person. :( :(

In a sea of suitcases, is there any order to them on the port ?
I find it daunting, looking for my luggage.
I will be on deck 15. Is it top first?

Your math is ridiculous, the suite you have to pay the $550+ TWICE so the price is a little over $1100 vs. the the $600+, for the studio. I like the solo cabin ‘cuz even though it’s an inside it’s got the digital faux window that on a Alaska Inside Passage cruise I can just watch inside my cabin and I LIKE having the lounge nearby where you can easily get a beverage or snack (don’t have to go to another floor and no fridge to store food in room) or easily find a single person to talk to, it’s quiet there if you want to read or find a place to play a game more privately, the card room is hot. I would sail on it just for the good solo program but the food is mediocre, too many surcharges and read a horrific account of a person who had travel insurance (not Norwegiansmbut third party) and has difficulty getting the codes to have her Medicare reimburse her, I know from experience NCL NEVER replies to cus support emails. Celebrity is high, but they DO answer emails and if you have medical needs they really help you.
