Yes ! Definitely, I believe Joan Taylor would have further advanced her career had she decided to stay with acting. I understand that Joan wanted to spend more time with her children at the height of her career. I would have liked to see Joan Taylor star in more movies, I sure liked her acting in The Rifleman. I love all of my westerns. The rifleman was a favorite of mine😃👍🏽🎉❣️

The Rifleman was canceled cuz Chuck Connors was tired of it. The studio wanted to go to 60 minute episodes & switch to color. Connors wanted to keep it at 30 minute episodes. Joan Taylor quit the show but was replaced for the final season.

Here it is 2024! I am retired and still addicted to the show while recovering from surgery! I might not have watched so many shows but the actors, acting, stories were all interesting and often fun. They deserve more ads! My generation still buys products and services as a former adverting and PR professor for decades. Thank for the show!

Joan Taylor did not retire after the Rifleman series ended? She left the show at the end of season 4 having acted in 18 episodes 1960–1962 . . . The shows female presence was replaced in season 5 by Patricia Blair who acted in 22 episodes of the shows final seasons 26 episodes 1962–1963

Yes, one visible way to show family values would have been for her and Lucas to marry and add a daughter to the McCain family!!
