second shoes for the Gym should be the norm everywhere
you ever seen a rainy day and what it could do to the inside of the gym if everyone went in with their outdoors shoes ?
buying another pair of shoes isn't costly in europe .. you don't need to buy new Jordans you can buy any cheap pair of shoes to train with in the gym ...
i don't know why this is an issue for you, this is the second time you mentioned that lol

Why the fuck every foreign traveler (vlogger) go in the muslim part of Skopje ? Is only a small portion of the town and don't represent the real story of the city.

The only bizarre thing in this case is your statement...

Das waren ein paar richtig schöne Dinge in Skopje zu sehen. Inflationär viele Denkmäler, Skulpturen, Brunnen auf dem grossen Platz. Fast wie Freilichtmuseum. Die Einwohner können stolz sein.

I never thought about going there before, but it looks very interesting! Thanks for showing us!
The sho thing makes sense. If a facility is trying to keep costs down, wearing inside shoes keeps the facility cleaner.

Great coverage of the town. You passed by some fine local eateries. Have sushi today; have some great food tomorrow. Convinced me to show up once I relocate to the Balkans. Enjoy.

The area Macedonia is currently under occupation, and it is part of Macedonia. Македонија вечна.

Been there, Sly! The taxi drivers (at least all the ones I dealt with) were very honest. One even told me I was paying him too much, but I told him it was okay and to keep the extra.

Where might you need a cab ride to? Hunter's Lodge Kamnik. Their food is superb! And the prices are at a discount versus what you would pay in the West. If you're still in Skopje, try to get over there for a dinner. They'll call you a cab once you've finished dining. Aim for an early dinner as the place won't be as busy and you'll be able to take more video/photos of the interior.

Glad you made the main drag of the Bazaar at the 13:30 mark (the arch you walked under was the marker). Disappointed you missed out on all of the jewelry stores. As you walked the main drag, the jewelry stores are one street over to the right, parallel to the main drag. There are dozens upon dozens of jewelry shops. At the close of business each day they pull back all of their window displays leaving it empty and destitute looking. But if you visit while they're open you'll have gobs of eye candy for your viewer.

There's a Mother Theresa Museum on the south side of the river. Probably worth your time to check it out.

If you're willing to do a pay excursion to the south, they'll take you to the top of the mountain which overlooks Skopje and some other points of interest on that path. Then there's another excursion to Matka Canyon (Russian name) which offers a scenic area to take a boat ride through to the Vrelo Cave hike. Matka Canyon also has an array of coffee houses at the edges where you can enjoy a beverage and the scenery at the same time = a bunch more eye candy footage to be had.

Last, there's a restaurant row along the river you may want to patronize. They're next to the Hotel Senigallia. The list includes: Restaurant Dion, Soul Kitchen, Cuban Cocktail Bar, Bella Vista Lounge, Restaurant Plaza de Toros, Carpe Diem, and Irish Pub St. Patrick. All have their menus out front.

Thanks for visiting my country. And the trigger is about the "North" part, but that's between our government and the Greek government. If you visit Greece you'll see plenty of Macedonian influence there, as well as people living and running businesses.

The rule about the shoes tho. In my thinking on a good sunny day like this it seems weird, but when it rains and in the winter when it snows it makes perfect sense to me.

For some reason arhitecture reminds me of Odessa. Back in late 80s I was a kid and went to Odessa on cruise ship, Taras Shivchenko, and these are the pictures that I still have left in my memories. Too bad you didn't go down to Odessa when you was in Kiev, see that city while it's still intact.

Outside politics and all that, you should try Coca Cola, the best in the world you can find it in North Macedonia.

I was very surprised when you told this "shoes for gym" thing for the first time. Second shoes for the gym is absolutely ordinary thing, it's just normal. In Russia, in Balkans, and I am pretty sure that's like that for many countries. I cannot imagine to go to the gym without separate shoes (And flipflops for shower, of course).

Yes, it costs money, but you buy it once for many-many gym days. And you don't have to purchase famous shoes, usual sneakers from usual shop or bazaar works too. I got my gym shoes from market place for $20 (Wildberries, Russia). In many of your videos you eating lunch that costs like this or more. And shoes you can use more than once) So I don't get your point at all.

Maybe you don't have space in your luggage for second pair and need to buy new pair in every country? Is that the issue? Then it's makes sense, but again, it's the problem for your circumstances and not for everyone.

Videos are interesting, thank you!
