Hey fam, as a cook, the gloves mean nothing if you don’t change them. Washing your hands is cleaner, and much less hassle then gloves. I don’t use em except for prep. I never use them cooking. It’s easy to forgo proper hygiene and sanitation with gloves because you can’t “feel” the dirtiness of handling raw meat and contaminates. I know some people hate that people who handle food don’t wear gloves and think they’re cleaner, but either way, you gotta change or wash.
Gloves are also a major hazard when dealing with any heating implements. You do not want to find out the hard way. Oil and plastic melting into your skin ain’t a fun trip to the ER.
