GEAR REVIEW: POLAR VANTAGE M

Come take a look at what I think of the Polar Vantage M after using it for the last couple months!
SO, I'll admit. I am not much of a tech reviewer. I need technology--whether it's running related or not--to be simple and easy. In this video I talk about the features that worked for me, and that I actually used.
Overall it was a great watch and I recommend it to someone who is interested in heart rate, and looking for a running watch with fantastic battery life.
Is it a Garmin 935 replacement? Not totally. But it's still a great watch.

Hey Emily. I have an older Garmin forerunner 10 from 2010 and it works great and has GPS. I don’t see the need to buy a new one right now. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. LOL. Don’t really need all of the fancy stuff. Has exactly what I need for my runs. it’s funny to look at the old technology like my old Garmin and compare it to the latest technology. My old Garmin is as thick as a Oreo double stuff cookie. LOL Great video, keep up the great work. Run on. Stay safe.

Thanks for the video and the unbiased opinion. Design of the watch is good, i don’t like the black frame on the screen that makes it look bigger but it isn’t (same applies to garmin). Off topic comment: We like your collection of sweaters!

Loved the review. I love polar despite their quirks and I think that people who go for polar watches are deliberately going for a fitness watch which gives a lot of data as compared to a smartwatch.

Emily you've got on the major flaw with these Polar watches. I had the Vantage V for a while that does have both a touchscreen and buttons. The heart rate sensor is spot on - superior to Garmin for sure. I sold the Vantage because the screen was just so dull. Even with the backlight on its just overly blue and well dull. The ability to create structured workouts is great (something that both Coros and Suunto need to do) and they work really well - better than Garmin imo. I've currently got a Garmin Fenix 6X Titanium Solar and it's amazing although damn expensive. The screen is so clear though and at 1.4" far easier to read. Agree with you on the charger not staying put. The magnet is far too weak and so often to disengage. Nice looking watch but not good enough for me. Stryd is great for consistent pace info but contrary to what they say it does need calibrating. That might explain the pace variance? Great review by the way and nice to see a different perspective to Michael's (Kofuzi) who is brilliant too! Keep safe 🙂

Good point about pace being different between Garin and Polar - have found the same thing after I switched to a COROS from Garmin. Not sure what to make of it.

hallo I want to buy a sports watch simply because I'm more interested in the subject of heart rate I want to know Which is more correct and reliable for running outside for cycling outside and inside and a few weights I'm interested in the Garmin forerunner 935 but also the polar vantage m more of the two you suggest me

I switched from Polar to Garmin 245, the apps is one of the reason, I cannot find what I want to know easily in polar’s apps, especially my body condition in the certain point of time, it should be an essential functionality. btw I feel Fitbit’s apps is most comfortable, very user friendly
