There's a major difference between taking inspiration from someone's work and completely ripping it off. What we don't want is a spitting image of someone's art, or graphic, or design, but we also want to take inspiration from artists and creators that we know do fantastic work. So in this quick video, we're giving you a great analogy for how to think about taking the inspiration from someone's work and reimagining it in your own way. Let us know what you think in the comments. Be sure to check out these other helpful details below.👇

Thank you for your analogy, I’ve put off to get into designing for fear of the copy right, so thank you for taking the time of explaining it so well!

Interesting and I get it to a certain extent but still find it a bit hard to visualize the comparison. Maybe if he actually demonstrated with an instrument, played the musical reference and showed the correponding design reference, it would make it clearer, to me at least. But I have to say that I don't find it hard to not outright copy someone. :)

thank you for the video, I want to ask something; is it possible to make a 58 cm sheet from image files with kittl for t-shirt dtf printing? and if not, what do you suggest?
