Talks S2E3 (Merve Noyan): BYOB - Build Your Own Bot

Summary: This workshop will give you a primer on conversational agents and how to make one according to your use case. I will cover frameworks, state-of-the-art in natural language understanding and dialogue management, generative models, what you can and can’t build. I will also cover common mistakes people make during chatbot lifecycle, starting from training data to monitoring the production (e.g. working with synthetic data or not falling back gracefully).
Bio: Merve is a Machine Learning Engineer at iamyiam, making chatbots for living. She’s also a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning and a graduate student in data science. Her main research interests are natural language processing and conversational AI.
