The current connector on the DL1608 is for the 30-pin connection for the previous iPad and iPad 2. You can connect the newest iPad via wireless connection or through a 30-pin to Lightning connector adapter. Hope this helps.

@yoursaxman Mackie's DL1608 has a funtion called Total Snapshot Recall, it allows you to easily save and recall sound check settings for multiple bands, complex song mixes or previous mixes from challenging venues as well as recall scenes for theater productions. You even have the option to pre-set the mixing board and be ready to go the moment you arrive if you already have an idea what you'll be mixing. Note: Mic pre-amp gains are not recallable. Link, no. You can use two channels (One for Left and one for Right) from one mixer to connect the other one...
