£5 Bushcraft Knife | Alpino Sport Bushcraft Knife

I bought this knife as a budget bushcraft knife to test out. This is the info from the website. "Nearly undestroyable: The Alpina Sport ANCHO knife features a 109 mm blade made of 420 steel, which can easily be resharpened. The non-slip polymer handle has TPR inserts. The plastic sheath in the same color holds the knife safe in place and can be carried on your belt. Set includes 4 black, 4 green and 8 orange knives."
As you can see I dont totally agree with this. It is a budget knife but in my opinion involves a lot of work.

Thanks for the review. You put such a lot of work into this. I'm always on the look out knives and equipment and videos help me decide. Thanks for the heads up.

Totally agree with you. Bought this knife on a whim a couple of years ago and the edge was crap. With diamond stones and diamond files and lots of elbow grease I got it to be paper cutting sharp. It is almost as if they expect you to sharpen it yourself. My Mora Basic 511 was razor sharp straight out of the box. I say, stick to Mora if you want a good, budget knife.

I would say that an hour spent on a £5 knife is time well spent IF the knife now holds its edge. If it doesn't then you wasted your money. I didn't buy mine to be a paper-knife so I am happy with the functional sharpness I have produced.

Bought a £5 knife and expected the world. I had one and it was fine. Yes I sharpened it to my own requirements but for £5 ??? Good disposable item.

Hey man, if you don't care to spend a Lil money, I tell you what, try a puukko knife from terava jaakaripukko, they are from Finland, they have a small version 110 an a 140 which this one has a 5an half inch blade length, it's 80crv2 carbon steel or you can get them in stainless steel too, if they aren't sold out, great Lil beasts of knives for hard use an food prep an camp tasks, I paid like 34.00 something for the knife an 30.00 for the sheath an 9.99 for shipping and plus a wet stone foe 12.00, about 80.00 u.s. dollars, been the best knife I've ever owned next to my mora companion, which is also nice, I do plan on getting the 240 skrama next sometime before my camping trip, we'll ty for the video.

I will pass on this one. I might have almost enough knives maybe anyway. Thank you for the review, Joe. Stay safe and stay cool

That kind of price and not a Mora, it was likely to be junk🤣. Nice honest review though. Keep up the good work.
