See how they “hold” onto you with their beak, and move their legs like that? They’re wanting to be put down. Whenever I have to restrain my bird (for nail clipping, for instance), he does not like it and after calming down resorts to the same behaviours as an outlet.

I’m not saying he’s scared or anything, I’m just saying he’s merely letting you do this, and asked to be put down and resorted to that behaviour instead.

And I don’t just say this in experience of my birds, it’s super common
