The Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program

Queensland councils have united to call on the Federal Government to continue funding a critical roads and community infrastructure funding program slated to end in 2026.

The Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program supports essential roads and community infrastructure – like sporting facilities, libraries and playgrounds.

The program is due to end in June 2026 – and this week councils sent a message from the Annual Conference floor calling on the Federal Government to establish a new funding program to fill the gap.
