Kurt Cobain - Do Re Mi (band mockup)

Here's an attempt at Do Re Mi.

I took the drum stems from an alternate take of Lithium (missing Tom and Overhead stems, so the drum sound is kinda narrow and weird, sorry about that), then added a bass guitar and a couple of guitars to it.

Artwork by Kurt Cobain.

In an alternate universe. Kurt didnt die. And nirvana made another album. And this was on that album.

This would've been a killer track if they had recorded and released it before Kurt's death. Just imagine how many more great songs Kurt and Nirvana had in their pockets.

I think I can safely say that Kurt, Krist, and Dave would be amazed by your work.

Kurt would be proud of what you made this song into

it's like seeing a photo that you love in black and white for however many years and then finally getting to see it in color. excellent work.

How can a song sound both happy and sad at the same time?

I've always felt connected to Do Re Mi, (personal reasons but anyways) and whenever I want to hear it I always choose this version. I've listened to it easily 50 times. This is incredible.

Jeeesh. You did an amazing job on this. Thanks for the closest I've felt to hearing a "new" nirvana song in decades.

In an alternate universe, Kurt lives and records the next Nirvana album with Do Rei Mi and You Know You're Right as the lead singles, as they seemed to be the most developed songs he was working on at the time. Sprinkle in studio versions of gems like Verse Chorus Verse, Poison's Gone, and Talk To Me, and you have the foundation of another spectacular album. We still miss you to this day, Kurt.

WOWOWOWOW. My jaw dropped, this is one of my favorite Nirvana tracks, and I NEVER imagined it could gain so much color! Superb job. Really. Made my day.

There is a band recording from 1994 in existence, but it has never been released. I think Courtney still has it.

This is what the internet is for. I can’t describe in words how much I love this

Sounds good except; I think Kurt's vocals should've  been louder.

I would be so happy if you did a band mockup of opinion!

Man. Imagining if Kurt surpassed his death. The next and potentially last album under the Nirvana name, could have been called anything. You Know You're Right being a hit single, then a month or two later release the album, hosting songs such as Do Re Mi, Burn the Rain and Poison's Gone. Crazy how all we can do now is imagine. We'll never get those priceless times back.

The more and more I listen to this version I realize how incredible this song is and that if there was a final studio version it would be a complete masterpiece.

This works so nicely. Very well done. Apparently, there was a version recorded with Cobain on drums and vocals, Eric Erlandson on bass and Pat Smear on guitar. Wonder if it'll ever see the light of day?
