I think they didn't include the steel bracelet because they don't have a bracelet with the same finish as the watch. On this watch the finish is a bit foggy while on the bracelet the finish is shiny.

I agree with everything you’ve detailed. I was shocked that this brand was asking this much for a watch running on an NH35 movement. A Miyota 9015 would also allow the case to be slimmed down. She’s a chunky girl.

Additionally, I’ve looked at HPG’s metal bracelets on their website and I think their clasps leave something to be desired. No on-the-fly adjustment 😏.

I think the mecaquartz version you reviewed a few weeks ago might be of the better value. I have owned fully lumed dial watches in the past. In my opinion they were all less legible in complete darkness than the standard diving watches with black dial & lumed markers and hands.

Also, on HGP website, they say these watches are assembled in France. So, I suspect the components (not just the Japanese movements) come from all over the world (more likely SE Asia). Excellent review as always!

Around €100 overpriced without the bracelet in my opinion, my Baltany Retro Diver S182026 will have to do for now.

Although I like the watch I would also not find it suitable with the mfg provided strap with my 7.6 inches wrist size. 😊
