Hi Mark. I have these on one of my bikes. I did not have to remove the valve out of the tube. By the looks of the ones you have as well you shouldn't need to as well. The little cross piece inside the part that screws onto the existing tube should depress the valve that is in there to let the air flow past. Just in case one does fail or someone does knock them off when you are at the shops you still have the original valve in the tube and hopefully still have air in the tyre. Also with the valves in the tubes you might not need to use pliers to tighten them down. Mine are finger tight and seal quite well. This might not work with yours but worth a check for that extra protection that might get you out a spot of trouble. Love your videos and keep up the good work. Cheers Todd.

Glad you commented on the effect on balance since that's the first thing I was concerned about. I'm sure it weighs at least as much as the weights applied to balance rims.

Mate, I came across your vids by accident. Awesome down-to-earth presentation even got the Mrs to put her knittin' want to be a big girl about this but can I just add these valve extenders are potentially dangerous on TUBELESS tyre valves as the weight of the extender under the spinning centrifugal force bends the rubberised valve stem causing it to crack and then rip resulting in immediate and sudden deflation.  I speak from experience and the fact when I rode professionally, the entire 'work' fleet had them removed as a safety issue. I think they come from the truck world where there would be no issues and on metalled bike valves like yours would be work though keep up with the fitness a bigger dog to chase ;-)  All the best.. Brilliant videos thank you!
The only thing I would say is I use those angle adapters on both my BMW's but I wouldnt do them up the with grips like that, its far too easy to twist the valve stem in the rim.
I put mine on heavy finger tight and iv not lost one yet.

Keep up the great work you two!

@11:35 You could point it more left or right to clear the brake disc also.

Yeah these valve extenders have been around for a while..they come in different colours aswell..you can find them under bicycles also...The reason i'm telling you about the bicycle ones is because they make them from lightwieght materials and they have more colours to choose from..Cheers

Wow! That area where you were riding the postie bike looks awesome, exactly what I need to practice on. Any chance you could move it a bit further south??? lol

Those seem to do the trick! Let us know if they throw the balance off at higher speeds. Ride safe!

These little adapters have been around for some time locally. We don't leave them on because you'll be making it too easy for some idiot to deflate your tyres and they'll get stolen...

had them on my bike for a long time but the valve failed on me. So now I have one on me at all times in my coat just not attached to the bike, helps a lot when putting air in your tires

I've got a 90deg extender for my back wheel (R1200RT). I was told only to use it when doing air, but not to leave on all the time as it does effect balance & something else.

Never knew these were a thing, i thought you could only get the permanent bent stems. but these would be great to put on when trying to inflate tyre then take off after, especially on the off-road bikes. Cheers

Cool extenders, on the DR you could turn em a bit also . I'd be worried when hittin mud and deep gravel the getting ripped of ?

It might be worth a try, but it looks like they don't have to be pointed straight out of the side at 90° from the rim. turn them so they are pointed at an angle and closer to the spoke. Still easy to get at, but tucked away further in towards the center line.

loving your vids dudes, Mark and Nay, shit common sense, always hated topping up with air pain in the bum
those angle dobbies rock. This was a post under the influence of alchohol.
