Somerset, England: Cider Farm

The countryside around Wells, England, is great for growing apples and you can visit farms that brew the authentic hard cider — known around here as "scrumpy." And at Land's End Cider Farm, Roger Wilkins is as old-school as it comes.

I grew up in Somerset and we regularly went to a cider mill to get some proper cloudy farmhouse cider. They had small barrels in the shop that you could sample the different ciders and I remember even as a 6 year old trying it and loving the stuff - and then sleeping all the way home!
