Matala | Colourful village in Crete

Matala is a holiday destination, gorgeous beach, and tourist attraction in southern Crete. Matala takes pride in its hippie past with flower power souvenir shops and roads painted in colourful motifs. Back in the 1960s and 1970s some hippies even lived in the spectacular caves carved into the cliffs. Matala is definitely worth a visit.
