Yes ! My perfectionist parts have served me so well when I was growing up I never got into trouble while the parts were leading my system. Criticism was not an option because everything these parts did did was perfect…. And today these protector part are slowing me down when they want to leads… when I notice one of the that parts I try and remember to thank it for how hard it worked for my system in the past and ask the part if it can relax now so I the Self can take charge and let other parts learn and get the help they r so badly waiting for…. ❤❤❤❤

I always help others. Why is it so hard for me to ask for help. I see my family as having too much on their plates, so I don't want to put more on theirs.

Being a perfectionist is so far removed from trying for perfection. And they can be so wrong about stuff it's silly.

This seems to me very much like one of many characteristic found in cognitive delusions, any clearly rational person will welcome any criticism as an opportunity to learn better, while the heuristic objective might still be perfection the rational mind understand that that is a target not a goal, life is the process not the result.
Cheers, Richard.

Boom; so true no room for feedback means no room for growth. Perfectionism should transform to Excellence. Now that’s where power reveals itself 🎉❤

Wrong... there's always room for constructive criticism so you can be a better perfectionist... he just has too high of an ego to want any help to get there

perfectionism is a myth and it's unhealthy. there will always be room for improvement and growth. this is especially true for creatives, how do you grow, innovate and develop as an artist if you think what you put out is perfect?
