I I have any taxidermist and my father was a taxidermist. I never got into painting but I have a year ago. I have just gotten into fly fishing and have fished trout my whole life and we have mounted many large trout in our day I think it would make a amazing painting a fly fisherman in mid-cast on a beautiful Montana river in autumn with the absolutely stunning

I'd love to see you do a Rio Grande Cutthroat...I find water to be so difficult! But the beautiful colors of this fish on a tight line with the type of fall background you show in this painting would be magical. A great video as always and thrilled to see you have a course now!

I’m just in awe of your talent! You have come such a long way from your pencil sketches in elementary school! For me it is the Owl that makes me stop and stare right back. Next would be a grizzly. Had the chance to get unintentionally close to a grizzly in Kananaskis Country and it was both magnificent and scary at the same time. ~Jay

Hi Des 🥰 I’ve been searching all over the web for the in depth videos of this painting, - I see your website looks different now(?) Did you remove it? Is there somewhere I can buy the “lesson”? I would really love to learn from you 🙏🥰 Thank you for sharing and inspiring with your beautiful art ❤️

You are so very talented, and your shades highlight the curvature and texture of you animals. I was a taxidermist and have always loved the gift God has given us in nature. You bring its beauty to life! I enjoy doing under water paintings of salmon runs, trout, which are very challenging for me. It would be amazing for you to do an under water creation maybe with a brown bear attempting to snatch a salmon from its hideaway, with its paw and claws visible. Thank you for creating so much enjoyment for nature lovers!!

I know they aren't really native to Alberta, but have you ever done a muskox? They seem like the sort of big hefty creature you would be able to do.

What do they call the black stuff that goes behind the paper to draw the image onto the canvas

Stunning thank you I’ve got a WIP of a winter scene & decided to add a white tail buck.
I’ve done a few that are excellent. But I still keep learning there no such thing as to much knowledge.

Fox. I paint a little fox in the corner of paintings I wish I’d done better - so I have something I’m happy to look at. Thanks for the video. Love your work!

Love your work and thanks for sharing. I just got back from yellowstone where I caught an awesome photo of a bison that I'm gonna start to paint real soon. Whitetails and turkey are my favorite.
