It doesn't make any sense to me. If he almost died just 6 days earlier from OD'ing on pain meds and by all accounts it was accidental (meaning, it wasn't an attempt at suicide). If he didn't want to die and he was scared enough to call an addiction specialist it only stands to reason that he would be more cautious - paying close attention to what he was taking. He was Mr. Clean about everything he put in his body or that he exposed himself to and in just 6 days after almost dying he went and put a toxic dose of pain meds in his system again. I'm having a hard time connecting the pieces.
