We are so far away from how we’ve eaten food in all of our human history.

There used to be an intimate connection between the soil, where lived, and what we consumed. We were part of that cycle, now it’s confusing and even when you’re eating real food (aka food that spoils) you could be getting nutrient deficient and low quality food.

This is all on a spectrum. If you’re eating only packaged food, switching to real food no matter where it is sourced from is best. And if you’re already accessing real food, then thinking about where it came from is the next best step.
