I love the way you go outside the key and come back in. I've been trying to add that into my playing for a bit but I just can't hear it that well, except for passing tones. Great phrasing as well.

May I ask a quick equipment question? With the variety of musical genre you play, have you ever felt the desire to look at active EQ on your basses? Or do you find that a passive bass can give you all of the "voices" you need to cover all of your music??
