It was fascinating to see Artemis lift off. It appeared to move much faster than the Apollo missions. I was a young pup and visiting Vancouver B.C. Canada with my parents when I saw the Apollo 11 land on the moon.

Finally!!! Of all the things that can bring us together it’s the exploration of space. Our future lies out there.
I remember the excitement of the first lunar landing. We need that excitement again.
We need to work together in the future with other countries and truly make this a global adventure!
Space, the final frontier!!

It will not be we who reach Alpha Centauri and other nearby stars. It will be a species very like us but with more of our strengths and fewer of our weaknesses...more confident, far-seeing, capable, and prudent. The sorts of beings we would want to represent us in a universe that, for all we know, is filled with species much older, much more powerful and very different.

... "It is surely only a question of time" : "if man walked on the moon in 1969 with a less powerful technology, there is no reason to think that with the more powerful technology of this 21st century he cannot again walk on the moon as the Stanley Kubrick moovie" ... ✌

Don't care. Waste of money. Artemis isn't going to the moon. It goes around the moon.

Im a huge space fanatic, but not at all a fan of government spending programs that have no purpose. The Artemis program is also detrimental to future deep space missions by forcing those missions to first go to the Artemis space station - which is a waste of critical fuel.

Here's a good one for the conspiracy theorists!

How much damage are these launches doing to our atmosphere? I visualize holes burned through the ozone layer. Over and over…

I"m convinced the Democratic politician was saying "God because people like Trump & Musk see themselves as immortal & all knowing but they are just men with immense egos.

Awesome! Except for the part where they will not send the best people but will instead fill a quota. At least we'll be done with the "First X to...", be it a woman or POC or rainbow person. Here's a hint: take a shortcut and send a black lesbian woman. Check three boxes with one stone and be done with that crap.
