The throttle is only heavy because they stuffed the base fulll of steel weights ;) I like mine though.

Good when it came out but nowadays there are better options, the plastic ball socket for the joystick really lets it down compared to modern alternatives (you need to keep it greased)

So.. i'm a Warthog user from it's release many years ago : Be carefull of these points : DO NOT take the stick in hand to raise or displace the stick+base : The stick design suffer a weak point on it's column that links the stick to its base and with the time, this column break just under the stick's handle - i hardly recommand to feet it with the custom 3D printed ring used as reinforcement of this column (free on Cults3D and many other 3D printing files provider sites).
The light grey bold is also rather fragile and cracks apprears on it with the time so don't tighten that bolt too much too and once again don't use the stick to carry the stick + base.

Same thing with the throttle : don't handle it by keeping it by the throttle sticks if you don't want some inner parts to break.

depending on what you are doing, adding a 6 inch extension to the warthog is amazing, I 3d printed one that is also 2 inch rear staggard. Doing high precision stuff like air to air re fueling is much better.

I loved my Warthog. Until I tried the Winwing Orion 2. It's basically the same price yet 100% better.

If you think the feeling of the Warthog is nice, Trust me, the orion 2 from winwing feels much better and more real, got it 3 Weeks ago and i love it! (Had the warthog before )

Just got one today. Couldn't be happier. The presicion of it is something to behold.

I don't understand people's gripes with the middle finger stick on the throttle? It seems to move with ease for me. Mine is the same as yours, did they replaced the 'nub' stick I heard bad things about?

but the gimble is crap on the warthog stick which defeats the whole point... keep the throttle and swap the stick out for a Virpil one thank me later
