Errors galore. But ... a float down the Yakima River Canyon is a must. Lots of breweries (Single Hill is downtown) and wineries. There is a paved bike/walkway from the south gap to the north gap and Naches. About 20 miles one way! Cowiche Canyon area has a bunch of single-track in addition to an easy hike along the old rail right-of-way. There's enough to keep you busy for a week here. I live here and have been to better and worse places in my life. Yak is pretty mellow and has great outdoor opportunities. If you want to know what Mexican food pairs best with beer or wine, you are in the right place!

When mentioning the wildlife in the canyon you seem to have missed those gorgeous rattlesnakes

Most of what they say in this video is inaccurate. I wouldn't trust them for any of the places they list.

#1: Get out of Yakima.

(Grew up here. Couldn’t wait to escape. Too many drugs, too many right wing John Bircher types pretending it’s their little slice of paradise.)
