The Broadway revival of Cabaret, starring Michelle Williams, opens April 24 at Studio 54. The production features Alan Cumming, reprising his iconic 1998 Tony Award-winning performance in the lead role of the Emcee. But Cumming isn't the musical's only famed master of ceremonies — the part has been played by several of musical theater's living legends, including the role's originator, Joel Grey. This playfully naughty supercut also features a provocative Norbert Leo Butz, British Pop Idol Will Young, and a delightful surprise performer.

Grey created a character when there was no idea how it was. He is the original the classic.. Alan added his own touch to a character that was allready there. He did a wonderful job.

This was awesome!  Grey and Cumming are my favorites (Cumming by just a small margin more so), and adding the Muppets to anything is always great. :D

Joel ate this up. Only he and Alan actually have unique takes on the roles. Everyone else feels derivative.

You can't say Cumming isn't Great in the Role he is hands down but Joel Grey gives the Role, well he's just downright creepy and that's what Cabaret is, Dark, Sad and yeah Creepy. I can't think of anyone whoever said it was funny not even "Two Ladies" Beedle Dee deedle dee that's probably the most chilling, Forget Friday the 13th want to be scared watch Cabaret Fact is always more frightening then fiction.

Who is the fourth actor? We saw Norbert Leo Butz on tour (in San Francisco), along with Joely Fisher as Sally Bowles. Had no idea who he was at the time but he was great. He’s a very dynamic, compelling performer. Joely Fisher was very good. Saw it on Broadway at Studio 54 with Jon Secada as the MC and Susan Eagan as Sally Bowles. She was fine, he was terrible. Would love to see a clip with Michael Hall!

Grey and Cumming are both compelling. Grey is more sinister. I like that. The other performer looks too healthy.

Raul Esparza performed a great Emcee. But Alan Cumming is by far my favorite. He even beats Joel Grey.

Norbert Butz ALL THE WAY. Cumming was way overdone and turned the character into a Tim Burton cartoon. Joel Grey is a classic, but Norbert brought something fresh and real to the role.

They ruined the role of the Emcee by making him a modern flaming queen. There was good reason that the Emcees sexuality was ambiguous in the Film and original play. I can't stand watching Cumming with stupid embellishments, idiotic mugging, and making the songs about his personal sexuality. Did we forget that the Emcee is not the male lead in this story? Brian is. If I went to see the show with Alan Cummings as the Emcee, I would have walked out. Can't stand it.
