For the first example; 6-7i

Why did you only substitute for the only I^2. Was it because i was equal to the  negative square root of one, while i^2 was equal to negative one.

One more question, for the second example why did you multiply both the numerator and the denominator. Why did you not just multiply by i?

You said to multiply the conjugate of the denominator, shouldn't the first question be multiplied by -3i/-3i?

I meant i^2, the computer automatically corrected it for me.
