‘Broadsheet’ visits Blarney Castle in County Cork to see one of Ireland’s oldest and most famous tourist attractions.

According to legend, the gift of eloquence is bestowed on the person who kisses the stone at Blarney Castle.

This report shows guardian of the Blarney Stone, Mr Matthew O’Shea, assisting a woman visitor to kiss the stone, just one of the millions to kiss the stone since it became a tourist attraction over 200 years ago.

This is my great grand-father Matt O'Shea in this video, the older man who is the "keeper of the stone". He is much loved in my family, he died in 1964 and his obituary even made it into the New York Times. Thank you for uploading this video.
