I would say that Çalhanoğlu offers the same benefits as Rodri (penalties, goal threat, creative, recoveries) whilst also being a better MD1 punt given the better fixture. Croatia will be tough, Georgia less so. Thoughts?

Are you sure on giving up already the both chips on group stage strategy? I have some doubts about this because the first match day will give us a lot of information for MD2, and if we made a poor MD1 results we only have 2 substitutions and we would rely on poor MD1 performance players plus any injury or manager line-up change would potentially destroy our free transfers planification. Then later on in MD5 wild card would potentially save us if a lot of players are knocked out, however there are way less diferential players and most teams would be already too similar to get a significant advantage.

Wow…you made the same draft as me lmaooo. Only difference we have is I have CR7 instead of Lukaku & Shaqiri instead of Gundogan. You should definitely consider Shaqiri as a punt. People sleeping he has nice fixtures too!

Im currently stuck between Van Dijk, Castagne and Jorginho or Rodri, Faes and Frimpong. I also really like Shaquiri so i already have him over Rodri. My plan is to use limitless in Gw2 so only Gw1 fixtures matter.

I've chilled big time on England's pricey players after those friendlies. There are significant steuctural problems and real weaknesses. They are vulnerable to direct attacking play.

You mention Rodri vs Shaqiri, I'm personally on Xhaka instead. The only difference with my team is Saka/Xhaka/Havertz instead of Rodri/Gundo/Kane. That leaves me with a bit more to spend in defence, where I currently have Maehle/Cancelo over Tah/Guehi and avoid the triple ups (not a fan), with the Faes spot still undecided. Only issue is that Maehle & Dimarco kinda means booking in 2 free transfers, but I really want both for gw1. As a Belgian, I think KDB/Lukaku warrant higher ownership, but our shaky defence is overrated and may also see a lot of rotation in the group stage.
