That moment when you owned the PS Vita just to play Persona 4 Golden. I know you came for that.

I’ve got 5 1000s, 1 2000, and a vita tv. I also have a ton of spare parts and batteries. I collect, and have about 350 games for Vita too. When I retire, I will play them. The Vita is my all time fav console.

Speaking of LE Vita models, I have a friend who owns that uber rare and expensive Hatsune Miku Vita. Needless to say, he has it enshrined in a glass case lol.

The biggest issue with the vita was the memory: maybe at that time, 200 dollars for 32 GB was a thing, but the console itself was 299; so not that smart as move, when SD micro cards were priced at 1/3rd of the vita cards.
Power was an issue, considering it was between a PS2 and a PS3, in a time where portable console were not really that hot. Sony could have made the greatest machine of all if only would pour more power and resources in the Vita; to make it at least at the PS3 level.

I bought cartridges for the games I wanted; which are games you can't find on PC or PS3/PS4; so the collection is not that expensive; but where the Vita shine is in emulation power. You can play already PSX and PSP games on it, but with modding enabled, you access to any system up to arcade and N64, which is awesome considering that the only other portable alternative is a phone with a grip controller or a small Chinese handheld (which is cheaper and the screen is smaller). IF only the Vita was able to play Dreamcast and N64 full speed, it would be even today the best retro-handheld ever made.

Really wished I got a Vita a year or 2 ago, the physical games keep getting more expensive!

I LOVE my Vita. I have a 3G 1000 model with that gorgeous OLED screen that, thankfully, I have zero issues with. While Japanese games make up a vast majority of my library (Persona, Neptunia, Dungeon Travelers, Vanillaware games, and more), I have some other more mainstream games like Uncharted, Sly Cooper, and Borderlands 2. Some great indies also, like Don't Starve, Binding of Isaac, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Bastion as well. (Sure, you can play those on other systems, but on Vita they're portable!). I recommend modding, it's really not hard at all and adds extra functionality!

I got a Vita 2000 not too long ago for 3 main reasons:
1: To replace my faulty PSP GO
2: For homebrew and emulation
3: For Project Diva
I mostly just use it for Diva... It was worth it! Though I think the PSP Diva games are better than the Vita's...

I love my vita, the most under rated system of all time. I have both the original and slim models, trying to find a hori grip and PlayStation tv for a decent price as all vita games and accessories are going up to sometimes crazy amounts. Always on the lookout for anything related to this great system

I was a huge pokemon fan back then and I played a lot on my 3ds without acknowledging the Vita but I found games I wanted to play on the platform so I bought one and gave it a try, now it's my favorite gaming handheld

The Vita was my favorite handheld EVER. The build quality was amazing, the browser actually worked pretty well with most websites (unlike the 3DS), there were apps for MP3s, videos, and images, and the library was AMAZING! PS1, PSP, and actual Vita games were a joy to play on this thing. I would highly recommend buying a Vita as a primary handheld, especially if you're big on JRPGs. Also, just remembered the Vita has trophy support for PSN, so yeah, there's that. I just really hope Sony puts the thing back into production or is working on a follow-up.

Those trigger grips work really well with PS1 games too. Plus, I now play all my physical collection of PSP games on the Vita, all you have to do is install custom firmware on the PSP which you can use to rip the games as an ISO file that can be booted on the Vita. I've since found myself collecting a lot of digital PS1 and PSP games that I either never played before or can't find previously. I've also downloaded many movies and TV shows from the PlayStation Store with it to watch them on the go. As much as I prefer physical media I've purchased more digital movies than DVDs since getting the Vita. Even if there's no Vita games that interest you, once you hack it its like having an upgraded PSP that also plays PS3 quality games of its own.

Modded Vita user here, after getting my Vita modded and then getting the SD adapter for it the console finally got a new life for me, especially because of I didn't have to uninstall the previous game just to play another, living with 4 gb memcard was a pain, couldn't even play Estival Versus because there was no space for the update.
So overall in my case Vita is a great mobile console, it's library consists of niche games mostly, but they still give a lot of entertainment, also to this day I am using this console, especially when I am going somewhere, cuz ya know, gaming is life, yet a desktop can't be used everywhere.

I adore the Vitas niche market and library. I'm glad I jumped on it while it was "dying" but the games were still available at retail locations. Lots of stores just gave games away for so cheap.
