It’s a cold wet dark stormy Winter night in Scotland. I’m cozy indoors with the rain battering off the window, I’m surrounded by colourful warm lights. My 2 year old Daughter is sleeping in my arms on the sofa. We’re snuggled up in blankets, my Wife is sitting next to us working on her laptop. Monk is on the TV. I’m listening to this album on my headphones. Life is perfect right now. Thank you Universe! 🙏🏽🌀🤍

The crazy thing about albums like this is they sound fresh af. It sounds just like a live performance outside my window in the city 🎶

What I like about Grant Green, who I am just now discovering, it that when he hits on a horn style motif, unlike some of my other heroes who are on to the next idea instantly, he will give it 4 repeats and swing it. I really like this album.

One of the greats of the jazz guitar sound.

What phrasing! Imaginative. Whimsical. Brilliant. No wonder he was one of Wes Montgomery's favorite artist. Thank you for sharing 👏🏿

Pared down Grant Green distilled to guitar, bass, and drums. Great stuff. He had an enormous amount of recordings, so for those unfamiliar with him, you have many opportunities.

used to live on Green Street in Chicago...cool street! So this album connects to my life somehow!

I find this kind of guitar jazz some of the best to work/study too. It seems to stimulate the brain a bit more than beats and mellow stuff, while still being chill enough to keep in the background. Also amazing to really pay attention to and get deep into. Amazing guitarist with great accompanyment

I always liked Grant Green. My first time hearing this. I play off, mostly off, and on but my teacher said I have some Grant Green qualities. I love Django. I feel like I’m hearing Django in this.

One of the first albums I ever bought, still have it, pristine. Defined much of my life. Ben Tucker on bass! He was mowed down by a drunk driver in Savannah. His friends do a yearly Memorial Concert in Wright Square, always worthy.

I love how Green likes to explore actual melodies and melodic ideas and isn't afraid to repeat them. A lot of Jazz guitarists (and musicians in general) have a habit of never repeating the same line or passage twice in a solo and can sound like a lot of noodling with a few cool parts in the middle.

Don't know anything about him and I am not an avid listener of Jazz...
But by George! This is jazzy....
