When I say I like psychological horror. This is what I mean. Whole story you don’t know who to trust or what’s real and imaginary. I love it

I really like how as the story progresses, certain details change, like Howie liking blue, and then later, green. Really adds to the vibe of the story

I’ve started quoting “I threw him in a trash compactor” so much it’s a problem.

The way he changes his voice to be so perfectly fitting for each character is UNCANNY. Amazing story.

This story is great because not only is it creepy AF, but also outright funny sometimes.

"Rule 1: Don't over react."
"I'm pretty sure throwing him in a trash compactor counts as an overreaction."

"Rule 3: Don't get third parties involved." "I THREW HIM. IN. A. TRASH. COMPACTOR..."

This guy is just an amazing writer. So many little pieces left throughout the story that drive you insane.

This narrator is so good tho, not much of these horror narrators know how to emote when they should and when to use the creepy monotone to build tension. This guy balances them perfectly.

the first half of the story was terrifying, the second half was very cryptic and engaging. 40 minutes left and i’ve loved this story so far.

The fact that Mitch scrubbed a cast iron pan is probably the scariest part of this story.

This was such a moving depiction of what OCD, paranoia, psychosis etc can feel like. And the horror of what if the psychosis is what created the monster is fascinating. Big applause to the author. I feel like it’s giving me clarity on my own anxious and the happiness that can come with healing and growth. We must accept our own mortality and the lasting fear that comes with it. To find peace we face our own trauma. And we can live with it. And slowly walk backwards. Just quite beautiful.

This story eerily captures the difficult to explain mental spirals and struggles and the dark place my mind will stay in if I don’t work on perspective. Absolutely horrifying in a way I did not expect.
