My garden 80 miles northwest of st.louis got destroyed from the wind. We got hit from the southernmost portion if it and it was like a hurricane for only 5 minutes here but still did some damage.

Had to drive through some of the worst of this with my mom. It's fun trying to chill while you don't know if there's a tornado, not being able to see 4 feet in front of you and more all whilst you have astraphobia.

This storm took my small illinois town by surprise. I was out not too far from my house in a field filming the ominous clouds aggressively heading towards me at a terrifying speed in which I've never seen before. Once those dark clouds came over my head I was met with winds up to 70 mph followed by the near by baseball field throwing dust at me like a sandstorm. The lightning soon followed but I needed my footage so I stuck around until the rain dropped instantly soaking me in a matter if seconds! As I ran home the wind literally pushed me so hard at one point I almost face planted into the street. The derecho did some minor damage fortunately. However it does not change the fact that most people suffered from this event.. 2020 is a crazy year

I also feel kinda happy that I got to catch a rare storm occurence on video!
