VLOGMAS #5 | Crackin' out the Disney Christmas Puzzle!

Day 5! Just a quiet homey day where I sew (giant snowflake is completed!!) and then crack open the Disney Christmas puzzle! Huzzah!!

As mentioned in the vlog, due to my busy work schedule this weekend, I'll be putting Days 6, 7 and 8 all together into one video that will be uploaded for you to watch on Monday. Normal daily vlogging for Vlogmas will continue from Day 9 (Monday).

Puzzles!  We buy one new puzzle each year.  Our rules for puzzling:  Turn over the pieces, and separate the border pieces from the inners.  The border gets put together first, then we can fill in.  BUT...you have to work from the borders ---> into the center.

It is truly hot there! Pool time! The puzzle looks like so much fun. The snowflake center is beautiful! Don't sweat over the small stuff, no one will notice. My non-quilty family and friends always say, if you didn't point it out we wouldn't of noticed. So I no longer sweat small oops. Besides it handmade and we're not perfect. You're so making me want to pull out my pattern, but first I don't have time right now and I don't have appropriate colorway for the snowflake, especially since it is the center of the quilt. I am amused to realise that starting a jig saw puzzle is such an individual tradition. As a family we would use 2 card tables. 1 for the puzzle in progress and the other to lay all the pieces out on one level. We would also to the border first. I didn't realise how hot the weather is in Sydney compared to Melbourne. How is the smoke haze?

Your snowflake looks so cute - I love it. Don't worry about the corners not matching. We say at our quilt group if you can't see a mistake while you are galloping by on a horse holding it up then it is fine. :) : )
