It's extremely rare for a singer to keep the exact same voice for over 35 years. This man has talent.

It's not just GT and this song, it's that whole era---the last true great songs period, which bled some into the 90s, too. But the last 25 years or so overall have lost the sound of simple lyrics, great tunes, and a dynamite vocal to top it all off. This song is basically the chorus and 2-3 sentences. But it not only says so much, but resonates in memory even four decades later, and is no way out of date either. Bravo.

If I closed my eyes and didn't know the year this was performed I would think it happened in the 80's. He sounds fantastic. This song still gives me chills. Very impressed with the vocals.
