I've played through the physical campaign and have a group playing through the digital campaign now. It's a bit faster on the app (about 2 hrs for 5 players per game) but it's easier to teach and see what is going on in the physical. Still I agree with Tom, it's a great digital version. In the times we live in it's a great online option for those who want to play it.

We are currently going through the Charterstone campaign, but have also decided that we are going to buy a recharge pack and create a balanced game that isn't a mess after we finish. We are enjoying the legacy and growing aspect of the game, but I don't think we'd be happy with the final result as a game to play over again as things get unbalanced and non-symmetrical.

You guys do a great job with these reviews of game apps. But they seem geared towards people who have played the board game version already. Can you give a quick opinion on whether it is a good purchase if you've never played the game before.

In Google play store this has slight user review deductions. Anyone know why?

The Apple App Store has a lot of reviews mentioning the app crashing or being unplayable. I wanted to try the game and have no one to play with so I thought this might be a good alternative but those reviews scared me off. Does anyone have feedback regarding those performance issue reviews?

But Tom, if you have never played this game as a board game, how is the learning curve? I know nothing about it. Does the app teach you easily? I just don't want to waste my money on a legacy game and feel confused while learning it.
