Guam is not an “island nation “. We are US citizens like everyone else in the country. We are all without power and water, not just service members. I appreciate your coverage, but please report that we are all Americans on this island, not just the military. Thank you.

The people of Guam are people too—and in case you’re not aware, the locals are American. Also FYI, Guam with American Samoa is highest in numbers for US Military service per capita—we have had our share of men and women in our families serving and dying for the USA, despite not having the right to vote for our CINC. We went thru that here last year in Bradenton, Fl. The eye went right over us. Then we were pelted from the other side! No power for 4 days in the heat and coolers for a fridge. We lost the barn's roof but we all survived ! It was scary in the dark. I feel for these people. We are about 30 minutes inland!

I was stationed in Guam in 1989 -1991 in the Navy. I was there when typhoon Russ hit. It really tore the island up. Please be careful. To All the people on Guam we are praying for you.

The people there are all US Citizens...our millitary is crucial, but so are the US civilians living there.

It’s not all service members in Guam!! There are Americans over there. My niece is there with her family, her husband is a airline pilot. It’s not just military!

What about the people in Guam and not only service members? I have 5 in my family in the service but it would have been nice to be included. Here we are in a typhoon and we see this video while our windows are pulsating and not knowing if the glass will shatter. Not having water and power is not our priority. It's the safety of everyone on the island. Power and water is the last thing she should mention. Those are just conveniences. I hope she reads our posts and learns from this. I don't want to think she is that heartless. Stay safe each and everyone of you. We only have each other.❤

It’s really bad my kitchen, room, bathroom flooded 😢😢😢it’s gonna be long night :( and days of cleaning :( hopefully my car is not damage outside under canopy / tarp .temove just the pipings expose :( still paying monthly for it . & our 87”truck. 😢😭🥺
