BCCI secretary Jay Shah has been elected as the next Chair of the International Cricket Council.

A new era in world cricket is imminent as Jay Shah has been elected unopposed as the next Independent Chair of the International Cricket Council. He will be the youngest ever ICC chair. Alison Mitchell, Clint Wheeldon and Sunil Gupta discuss what this means for the sport.

Plus, preparations for next month's Women's T20 World Cup have stepped up a level with holders Australia, England, India and Pakistan all naming their squads for the tournament in the UAE. It was moved from Bangladesh following civil unrest in the country. England spinner Linsey Smith joins us on the programme to give us her reaction to being back in the England squad.

We also reflect on a historic moment for Bangladesh as they beat Pakistan for the first time in Test cricket.

Jay sha did excellent job in Gujarat cricket association, women cricket, domestic cricket and Indian national team in his long career from 2009 to till now . I hope he expands cricket in other countries, developing infrastructure in the associates nation and gives equal opportunities/importance to women cricket.

Isn't it a common sense that whether India should travel to Pakistan is decided by the Government and not Jay Shah? Even if the opposition comes to power and replace Jay Shah, they will think thrice whether to send Indian team to Pakistan in the current political scenarios. It doesn't make sense how media portray Jay Shah as an authoritarian who can do whatever the hell he wants just because he is son of a prominent politician. Sure, it must have brought him the advantage but not to the extent that he can sit on the throne and decide things on his own when it comes to Pakistan.

Test fund is a stupid idea to have countries play test cricket without their own resources,
What they ought to do is provide this test fund to countries like sa, wi and nz so that they can provide players to play for england and australia, this is so foolish wasting their resources on test cricket which is an expensive game.Only india, aus and eng should play test cricket, with other teams allowed to provide 4 players to these teams for which they should be paid 1 million dollars a year.Half for the board and half for the players.
Tri lateral test cricket with 12 matches every year and bcci, ca and ecb hosting 6 matches each with rest the teams coming to their shore every year will make the tv rights double and ticket sales which will make test cricket a great money making proposition.
Economics should never be neglected or it will always bite you in the end.
Sell the joint tv rights for the whole trilateral series together and see the margins double.
They are sitting on a gold mine and are thinking of saving test cricket for nations whose population doesn't give a damn.
