My Favourite Trail On the North Shore

Riding Boogieman in the wet has to be one of my favourite North Shore experiences. The stunts, skinnies and rock rolls become even more special when they're glistening with moisture and the whole trail just seems to exude West Coast vibes.

After you did the little swing-ramp thing, the way you corrected your trajectory, avoiding the tree, and still had flow afterwards.. man that was sick

The carved out log is such a lovely feature!

Years ago i worked with this guy that considered himself a "serious" mountain biker and on a work trip to Golden we finished up for the day and I asked him if he was going to go for a ride (he always brought his bike on work trips) and he said no because it had rained earlier that day and he didn't want to to get his bike wet or dirty. This made very little sense to me because I've always thought riding in the mud is super fun and the point of mountain biking, get out there get filthy, smile like an idiot the entire time and then when you're spent head home, hit the shower and hose the bike down. Anyway not sure if there's a point to my comment but it's nice to see people out there riding in the fun stuff.

I’ve never watched or done mountain biking, but I suddenly find myself with a new favorite channel🤔

That squeaking sound is scarier than the emergency horn from StarWars haha.

I've seen Jeff KW's video riding the same trail in the wet and even at his immense skill level he struggled with some sections. Unreal riding and control, on such a technical trail, in those conditions 🙌

People need to understand that in these conditions the trail is 10x more difficult then when it is dry. Well done.

5:50 You know it's basically vertical IRL when it looks steep on the GoPro. This is some fantastic riding.

I aspire to attempt 1/10th of what you're able to master

I used to ride CBC to Boogie man on Seymour 20 yrs ago...was happy if I could clean the steep section prior to taking a hard right to the last ladder drop...there used to be a small tree in the way just as you turn onto the ladder ..it always messed up my approach! Very nostalgic! My old injuries from that trail still haunt me today!

Skills are insane. The forest is so beautiful too. Wow

The "bottom" section has a bunch of new dirt now. Absolutely gorgeous runout and berm off the drop, and the gap jump to the left is refreshed, too.

How do you not have a million subs yet. You deserve much more

Yes one of my favorite trails too. New features such as the opening drop have been great updates, but can stop with the "smoothing" of the trail now. I see this video was before a lot of the trail got smoothed out and before the new opening wood drop.

You never fail to amaze me. Those maneuvers you do to balance, avoid hitting the trees in those tight turns/spaces, etc. are incredible!

I have been watching mountain biking videos since 2016 and i got a interest into the sports from my teenage years.

All the noises like the tyres going along the track as well as the riders doing a bunch of tricks in the air, i love their fearlessness plus guts to do anything on a mountain bike even if looks impossible: In the world of mountain biking anything is possible unless your willing to try.

May this amazing as well as fun, friendly, enthusiastic, energetic, inspirational, motivational, talented, mind-blowing sport: countine for many more years to come.

We always admire the people who conceive, design, and build all of these trails. Hard Brain work. Hard Back Work. And generally volunteer and unpaid.

Your style is like trials bike riding. So fun to watch! Can you get a drone so we can see some of the side angles of these features?

I know people won’t believe this …but when I first built Boogie Man I did it by my self and it was a hidden trail for about a year before it was found out. I used to block the entrance and I did not finish the trail to the trail head it just developed. through people trying to find it. I’m so grateful that people still love this trail I think I have ridden it in my mind a million times back when it was building. I wanted flow and the elements intermixed and trying to do the whole trail back in day without dabs! As we called them. Cheers to all that have added element and fixed with dirt and rock and sweat to this fun trail it shows people still love to boogie.. it looks as fun as when I was living in Vancouver 15 years ago and working on her. …she must be at least 20 old this year!
Cheers …The Bear!
