Honestly without guidance you can't reach anywhere, I'll make sure to follow these steps from the very first day just to make sure I'm fully productive

I think your explanations make me less anxious if I intend on becoming a doctor someday. People should take note that working hard at it, can be the best part of the reward later on. Hope I make sense. I have Aspergers Syndrome and I tend to have anxiety all the time.

I´m sharing this with my study parnters. Thank you! Your recommendations for my last year on Patholgy and Micro were really helpfull too. I still have a long way through so I think I would come back here any soon.

Reading Ktazung is for class lecture/ tests. It has what you need to pass both your basic sciences and what quite possibly your board. However Katzung is "still dense". Kaplan Pharm need to be done with lecture videos and qbank. It's a 3 in 1 deal. You can't get one without the other in terms of benefit.
That's why picking up a kaplan pharm book with out lecture or q bank leaves you lost.

Crikey, I guess making these videos open you up to criticism...I for one love your videos, they give a really great reflection on life and learning as a med student.Keep them coming Doc Ossareh, don't listen too much to the critical people, best just to listen to oneself!!!

Reading the katzung board reviewer without starting the text book first is like having dessert before the meal.

If students or post-graduates seriously want to learn Pharmacology, forget the Examination and Board reviews, the Lippincotts, at a glance and made easy craps... Pharmacology is a serious subject, remembering facts from this review textbooks just won't cut it if you want knowledge in the long-term. Fortunately there are some great textbooks for learning Pharmacology. You can get the full Katzung's Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, Principles of Pharmacology, Essentials of Medical Pharmacology or Rang and Dale, which are all great textbooks...

My personal recommendation for your first or second Pharmacology textbook is to get Bennett and Brown's Clinical Pharmacology and don't let the "Clinical" in the name scare you. It has enough information on classification, mechanism of action and of course therapeutic use that you would hardly ever need a second textbook, although it's always good to learn from different sources... It's not super THICC, about 700 pages, it won't brake your spine, paper quality is good unlike Katzung's Tata McGRAW Hill edition... and most importantly the way the text is written it reads like a fairy tail of drug information, it's like a Rang and Dale, but even better!

Hey, thanks for the videos. Could you do a "how to study medical immunology". My school teaches micro & immuno in the same 8 week block and I feel like they'll make us learn all of med school immuno in 2 weeks. Can you also talk about how you prepared for step 1 i.e., materials used, routine, and whether you studied during or after the end of second year. Thanks!
