Bee Gees Songs Rediscovered! 'The Way It Was', from Children of the World, with Lyrics, Barry Gibb

The Rediscovered song this time around is The Way It Was, from the Children of the World record. The song came out in 1976 and while most of Barry’s songs on this album featured the falsetto voice, this one used his more natural tone.

I’ve made it a new video and the song’s worth a listen again, it pops into my head on a regular basis.

Iv'e never heard this one before, Beautiful song.

I've always marveled at this song. It was the 4th track- Side B of the album right before the song Children of the World.
Blue Weaver helped him compose this and played the piano.
I was mesmerized by his smooth vocals plus the falsetto part in the end.
It was one of the hidden gem in that album.
I would sing it to my GF before and she couldn't believe how beautiful the song was.
