I can kind of ignore whatever else she said but labgrown vs natural diamond has no difference. They both are crystalline structure of Carbon. You can't make Gold at home so that price is justified but Diamonds can be created. Infact Diamonds are one of the most common gemstones. What makes it costly is that the DeBeers company holds majority of diamonds and releases them little by little to keep the demand. If all the diamonds kept in vaults arw kept on display it wont even fetch 100 rupees. Also, no one was really fond of Diamonds back in the day but DeBeers ran a marketing campaign where they asked brides to ask for Diamond ring and it caught on. Just like the Santa Claus you see today was actually created by Coca Cola. I always feel like someone doesn't have enough brains when they fall for marketing.
