Actually the Higgs boson is just an excrement of the Higgs Field (the actual thing that "gives" mass). And the Higgs field is not responsible for all mass, just the extra mass of electrons. Most of what we measure as mass is NOT from the Higgs field, but rather from the nuclear forces of quarks. Thanks for the info Yong!

There will be the quantum entanglement concept, always said from the realease of the poster. I'm pretty sure of this.
This will be reflected in the changes that happen to characters who are distant, even in different dimensions.
Every character (maybe only the main ones) is like an electron or a sub-particle in general and once a link is made between these two particles, they will continue to influence one another, no matter the distance.

ok, here is the deal, these equations are all needed in the computations done when trying to figure out how a black hole works, more specifically, how a black hole might be a worm hole, and how one could possible travel through it. This also explains why these equations are etched in dog tags, Norman was sent through the black hole, and these equations were imperative for his return, so they were etched into something permanent for him to carry, so that he will always have the knowledge to allow him to return. Unfortunately the black hole transport him to a parallel universe, where things are similar but very different, twisted and distorted from our own reality.

Generally, the second equation describes diffusion of particles in media. It also describes how well-ordered structures decay to disorder. R(q) is a source of particles (or heat) that create order in media.

I have a feeling Kojima had this idea a long time ago (maybe even years or even a decade ago), then over time he just kept adding on and perfecting it, until now; when his dreams can finally be realized.

Etching equations and such onto metal, instead of a USB or something digital, is a way to preserve them and send them through space undistorted by cosmic radiation, like we do today.

I'm sure if we collect or gather them in the game they'll allow us to do or unlock something by combining the scientific ideas and in-game implications etched on them.

I thought originally they etched the equations on tags in the game in order to bring them through space-time but thanks to Horizon, we know the tags are made of plain metal, where as the handcuffs and umbilical cords look like the same foreign metal material. I would think maybe because it's some unknown metal, it can travel through space-time.

Maybe the reason why people have the unknown metal handcuffs on are because Mads is capturing people across space-time. Maybe the regular metal tags can also traverse space-time but I don't know.

Norman may have been captured or thrown through space-time, and he wore the tags to preserve his or our knowledge.

There is definitely some connection between Norman and the baby, maybe that's the death mechanic in the game, to never die and just be born again stranded somewhere.

In the first trailer everything seemed to be dead except Norman, even the baby disappears. Kojima has always hinted at his endgames and maybe this is where Norman dies. I'm thinking the two trailers happen at the same time and Guillermo turns on the baby, making it disappear from Norman's world. Then Norman does something with the floating entities that we do not see, but by the baby hitting Mads in the tunnel, Mads knows whats happening or what Norman is doing.

Also, I'm sure the heat equation probably referes to entropy I say that because it's a more generalised topic than temperature specifically.

Here's a random theory: It seems to me that these equations are etched into a hard material - like a way sturdier dogtag. I guess it is to preserve the information on them over a great length of time. Today we can still read roman stone carvings, but their less durable paper writings are all but gone. Perhaps Norman is hopping around the multiverse, quantum leap style, and searching for his home universe where these specific physics equations are true. Kind of like a universal home address.

Okay, so, here's my theory: What if the stranded necklace gave you the powers that each one of the little bars/USB sticks/whatever have engraved on it? It's just that it seems weird that they would engrave ecuations in metal just for the sole purpose of wearing when you can have an smartphone or a digital file ( supposing DS takes place in contemporary time or the future ).

What would be the point of the stranded necklace?

So all of these have the possibility of being tied to creation / fabrication / manipulation. Very human concept.

as i was watching the equations, what came to my mind was quantum mechanics on how particles change when they are being observed

To me these equations seem to hint at trying to combine General Relativity with Quantum Field Theory. This is the so called 'Theory of Everything'. It is said that a 'Theory of Everything' would give a complete understanding of how the universe functions.
If this is the case equations for String Theory or Quantum Gravity may come up in the future.
Also the Heat transfer equation most probably refers to Entropy sometimes explained as the order and disorder of a system.
