Join us April 13/14 for a Men’s Retreat facilitated by Fr. George Nursey. The retreat weekend is designed to help men grow in both their faith and prayer life. Registration fee: $20.

Though prayer is one of the essentials of a thriving faith, we often feel as if we’re talking to ourselves—or, worse, as if we’re talking to no one at all. How can something so vital to the Faith be so elusive?

Now, with the clear teaching and artistry of the Augustine Institute’s Lectio series, Fr. George guides participants through the discipline of Lectio Divina demonstrating how to make prayer an effective effort of an Encounter with God. This weekend, allow God to reveal to you the secret to opening your heart and mind to Scripture. Give yourself the means to hear from God and then respond in conversation, basking in his presence and resolving to live in and through his love.

The Retreat experience is held in the Youth Room from 6:30pm-9: 30 pm Friday evening, April 13 with a light meal. Retreatants return on Saturday morning at 8:30 am (continental breakfast and lunch provided) and the retreat concludes by 3 pm Saturday, April 14th. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to learn and experience Lectio Divina and build up your prayer life. The retreat is for the men of the parish and will be led by Fr. George Nursey.

Please be sure to bring a Bible. Don’t have one? Stop by the Parish Office to purchase one before the Retreat! We recommend, -THE CATHOLIC YOUTH BIBLE– yes it’s for adults too!!
