Hey guys! In this vlog we show you what the REAL Jersey Shore is all about! No, we aren't talking about MTV's GTL shore with fights, drinking, and fake tans... nope we are talking boats, lighthouses, food, scooters, and beaches. We have found the very best things to do when you visit the Jersey Shore and specifically LBI (Long Beach Island). To us, this is home and it has some of the best and most beautiful beaches on the East Coast.

LBI has long been one of NJ's premier shore destinations. In the north part of the island is Barnegat Light, which includes Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. We check this beautiful place out and find an amazing maritime trail so different than the rest of the island you wouldn't believe you were still at the shore.

Also in the north are the relaxed towns of Surf City, Loveladies, North Beach and Harvey Cedar. Head south to find bustling Ship Bottom, Holgate, Brant Beach and Beach Haven, the island’s main action center. Here you’ll find Fantasy Island Amusement Park and a ton of other places to eat, shop, and relax. Beach Haven, where we live, is home to Thundering Surf Water Park & Adventure Golf, which features eight giant waterslides and much more. The town is also a popular shopping spot, especially the stores in the belly of a real ship at Schooner's Wharf!

I used to spend every summer down the shore in LBI. Been many years since I’ve been back and I have no idea why. Legendary sunsets.

Thank you for the memories! I’m from upstate NY and as a teenager I worked on Long Beach Island many many many years ago. My parents would bring me down and drop me off at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference to work for the whole summer. We had one day off a week. It was a wonderful place and time. I really don’t like admitting that it was over 50 years ago and I have only visited there once since I worked there as a young girl and it had changed already I can only imagine what it’s like now I remember going back to visit I believe around 1990 and most of the beaches were taken over by beautiful homes then. I would love to just go back and ride around and see the Whole place again there used to be a sub shop in ship bottom that everyone went to I imagine that may be long gone or it may be still there I really don’t know once a week we used to go on a 5 mile hike to the barnegat lighthouse. Someday you will look back on all your memories to and I’m sure you will have some beautiful ones thank you so much for sharing your time together
