In this video I’ll teach you how to make Chicken Chow Mein and I’ll also reference two videos I haven’t even edited yet as if they’re already on the channel. The clip in the beginning is from Firefly. Keep an eye out for season 2!
RECIPE
2 Chicken Thighs
1 Cup Chicken Broth
3 Large Celery Stalks
2 Medium Onions
5 oz Bean Sprouts
1/2 Head Napa Cabbage (top half is leafier)
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
1 Tablespoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon MSP
1/4 Cup Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Veg Oil
1/4 Cup Peanut Oil
STIR CONSTANTLY
Chop Celery (into thin strips on an angle)
Chop Onions (into thick strips like painters tape)
Coarsely Chop Cabbage
Cut Chicken into Chunks
Season Chicken with Salt
Mix Together Corn Starch and Water
Heat up Both Oils
Fry Garlic, Celery, and Onions (until starting to brown)
Add in Chicken (Fry just until it turns white)
Add in Sugar
Add in Sprouts and Cabbage (cook until cabbage shrinks)
Add in Chicken Broth
Add in Soy Sauce and MSG
Thicken with Corn Starch Mixture (while stirring vigorously)
