Remember, all light needs is a name and face. He could just ask Koji for his name. Koji is sometimes careless. So he wouldn't think much and say his name. Or Koji could be popular in school and light just needs to ask one of the students Koji's name.

But if Koji understands the situation and that light somehow has supernatural ability (the death note) then I think Koji could win, but finding the evidence would be hard to expose light.
