Life-threatening heart arrhythmias can be difficult to detect but a new deep learning algorithm can evaluate each second of a heart signal and diagnose 14 types of arrhythmia with performance similar to that of cardiologists.

There's a lot of papers, tutorials and courses on image classification, not so many on dealing with classifying signals.

Actually keen to find more code examples on this problem type.

Could you clarify how this differs from existing EKG interpretative algorithms already on the market (in some cases, for decades), such as the GE/Marquette 12SL, Zoll Inovise, Phillips DXL, Glasgow algorithm, Eli Mortara, etc?
